I know Pride is over, but I fell it was way better than the UFC because they allowed knees and kicks to the head/face on the ground which was awesome, especially watching Wanderlei and Shogun soccer kick someone to the head.

The question, while slightly ludicrous given PRIDE doesn't exist anymore, was "Which has the better fighters, PRIDE or UFC?", not "Which was the better organization." But to speak to your statement, UFC rules are different than the PRIDE rules were for one reason: No sanctioning body in the U.S. would ever allow kicks, knees or stomps to the head of a downed opponent. As for the real question as to which promotion had the better fighters, in my opinion, the UFC wins. Anyone that is a long-standing MMA fan and has followed the sport since the early '90s knows that PRIDE not only looked the other way when it came to performance enhancing drugs, they actually encouraged it. It's also common knowledge that back-room payoffs and favoritism by officials towards the top fighters played a huge role in which fighters were "successful" and those that weren't. Add in the rather dismal performances of ex-PRIDE fighters now in the UFC (Rampage and Nog the exeptions), and you can see where I'm coming from.
