UFC Fighter released from contract after poor showing!

As i excitedly planned to turn in my latest blog about the release of Kalib Starver from his contract after his poor showing at UFC 83 I noticed my fellow contributer Bob Boyer had beaten me to the punch. Very MMA of you sir, and a very well written Blog bye the way.

To keep from completely re-writing what has already been said i just wanted to add a couple of things. If your an MMA fighter it is your job to fight. It sounds simple i know but come on. If your a bartender you make drinks, if your a singer you sing, and if your payed to fight you better show up ready to fight. He said he had broken his foot. OK, and? Either you suck it up and fight, or you throw in the towel, say sorry to your fans, and live to fight another day.

I think the last thing you do is a wierd mixture of the two. Staying in the ring and refusing to fight doesn't do anybody any good. It's no good to either fighter and it is very unfair to the fans who payed food money to watch you do what you supposedly love to do.

Yep, I agree.

Kalib to me, always seemed tentative in his fights. His best win in the UFC was over Chris Leben, and he showed the proper technique needed to beat a brawler.

However since then, he turned into a whimp of a fighter and got what he deserved.
